The Ohio City Gardeners will have our next meeting on Sunday March 8, 2009 at the
Cleveland Botanical Gardens at 1 p.m.
Library tour followed by docent led tour of
Orchid Mania.
This is a free event for members. Non-
members may enjoy the tour at the low
cost of $5.00.

Monday April 6, 2009
Our APRIL MEETING is the Rain Barrel Workshop presented by the Cuyahoga County Soil and Water Conservation District’s Amy Roskilli. It will be held at Franklin Circle Church on Monday evening April 6, 2009 beginning at 7PM. This church is located at 1688 Fulton Road. There are spots for 30 participants of which the club has 15. The other 15 spots will go to our host’s congregation and guests from Eco-Village. The goal will be to have 30 participants at this event!
This will be held at the Franklin Circle Church.
The cost is $60 per barrel made.
You must RSVP by April 1, 2009 to Kevin 216-281-9112.
There are only 30 spots available so reserve yours early.

May 11, 2009 the Ohio City Gardeners workshop on Container Gardening will be hosted by Plant Crafters. Bring your own pot (large or small) to Plantcrafters, 26185 Center Ridge Road, Westlake for a presentation on creating and building container gardens followed by workshop to build your own…you do NOT have to build a garden, just come for the fun! You will be charged for plants you use to make your container garden, at a discounted price of course!

Sunday May 19, 2009 is the Annual Ohio City Home Tour. The Ohio City Gardeners may have a garden spot on the tour.

Ohio City Garden Club Annual Garden Tour – Chairperson Anne Frank has been busy already and has most of the gardens lined up for this wonderful annual event.

August 10, 2009 the Ohio City Gardeners will host a lecture on Shade Gardening, presented by Ron Wilson.
This will be held at Stone Gables unless otherswise notified.

So you want to be a Master Gardener… a presentation from the Master Gardeners (MG) of the Ohio State University Extension Office; to include what is involved with becoming a MG and the joys of being an MG.

Bulbs in your Garden – presentation by Master Gardener John Langkau.
In addition the Ohio City gardeners may be have in a spring bulb sales drive. We hope to be distributing bulbs by this meeting.

On Monday April 7, 2008 the Ohio City Gardeners is proud to present Phyllis Bambeck from Fairview Gardens. She will be presenting on the importance of proper composting. Composting is an easy way of helping the environment. We will also discuss the upcoming Garden Tour for July 20,2008. This presentation will take place at Stone Gables, 3806 Franklin Blvd. Cleveland, Ohio 44113

"From the summer garden to a summer table'.
August 4th, 2008 Ohio City's own Kevin Borowiak will be giving a presentation/talk/demo. This will be held at Stone Gables at 3806 Franklin Blvd, Cleveland, OHio 44113. It will incorporate a meal prepared with fresh garden produce. This will include a soup, salad, side dishs and dessert ideas. There will be copies of all recipes for all who attend.
